Biography

• born 10.11.1972 in Bad Harzburg / Germany
• first bass aged 16
• 1992: Graduation diploma in Hannover / Germany
• 1992 – 2000: studied „culture & music“ (Kulturpaedagogik) at the university of Hildesheim / Germany (electric bass / vocals)
• from 1993: various studio and live gigs as a professional freelance bass player
• from 1993: teacher for several music schools and organisations, also taught workshops for bass, bass & drums, groove, music theory, ear training and did coachings for bands all over Germany, e.g. for “Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft (BA) Rock”, “Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft (LAG) Rock in Niedersachsen”, “Rockbuero Hannover”, “Rockbuero Celle”, „Rockworkshop Salzgitter“, „Dresdner Bass & Drum Festival“, „Warwick Bass Camp“ etc. – 1996: “Kontaktstudiengang Popularmusik” at the “Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater” in Hamburg / Germany
• 1996-2015: editor of german bass magazine “BASS PROFESSOR” (distributed quarterly in Germany, Austria & Switzerland)
• 1999-2002: worked as a freelance journalist for well known daily newspaper “Neue Presse” (concerts reviews etc.)

• from 2008: Bass teacher for bachelor course of studies “Popular Music” at the “Hochschule fuer Musik, Theater & Medien Hannover”
• 2014: One of three German bass lecturers at the international Warwick Bass Camp (amongst „bass heavyweights“ like Victor Wooten, Alphonso Johnson, Steve Bailey, Jonas Hellborg, Stu Hamm, Adam Nitti, Bobby Vega …)
• from 2015: editor in chief of bass editorial office of German online magazine www.bonedo.de
• from 2016: bass teacher at the „Popakademie Baden-Württemberg“ in Mannheim, Germany.
• from 2017: Bass demonstrator for biggest YouTube bass channel „BassTheWorld“.
